Chinese Vice Premier Meets UBS Executive Chairman
Chinese Vice Premier Huang Ju met Wednesday morning with Lord Leon Brittan, executive chairman of the UBS investment bank.

Huang Ju
met Wednesday morning with Lord Leon Brittan, executive chairman of the UBS investment bank.
Huang praised Brittan for his efforts in promoting relations between China and European countries over the past decade while hewas vice president of the European Union Commission.
He said that UBS has conducted fruitful cooperation with Chinese finance and business circles, and has helped some major Chinese companies to go public in the overseas stock market.
Huang said UBS, the first qualified foreign institutional investor (QFII) approved by the
China Securities Regulatory Commission
, has participated in improving the Chinese capital market.
The Chinese government appreciates those efforts, he told Brittan.
Huang added that the Chinese government will continue to work with global financial organizations, including UBS, to improve China's capital market.
Brittan said that UBS is willing to further cooperation with China.
