FM Spokesman: China Welcomes Peaceful Solution of Crisis in Sao Tome and Principe

China welcomed the peaceful solution of the coup crisis in Sao Tome and Principe, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan Thursday.

China welcomed the peaceful solution of the coup crisis in Sao Tome and Principe, said Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan Thursday.

Kong said China had kept a close watch on the situation in Sao Tome and Principe.

China also appreciated the roles played by organizations and countries concerned in their active efforts to address the issue peacefully, and hoped Sao Tome and Principe would return to political stability and economic development as soon as possible, Kong said.
