Stagecraft Exhibition to be Held in Nanjing in December

The Second Stagecraft Exhibition of China will be held in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, from Dec. 5 to 14 this year.

The Second Stagecraft Exhibition of China will be held in Nanjing, capital of east China's Jiangsu Province, from Dec. 5 to 14 this year.

The exhibition will demonstrate major achievements in modern theater, such as film and television arts and stage arts featuringdrama, opera, song and dance, acrobatics and puppetry, said the exhibition's sponsors here Friday.

It will also display stage equipment, hold academic seminars and international stage art exchanges, stage goods programs, and publish articles and theses.

The exhibition is jointly sponsored by the art department underChina's Ministry of Culture, the Chinese Stagecraft Society and the culture department of Jiangsu provincial government.

The first such exhibition was held in Beijing in 1982.
