CYLC National Conference Closes in Beijing

The 15th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) ended Saturday.

The 15th National Congress of the Communist Youth League of China (CYLC) ended Saturday.

At the five-day meeting, the 1,539 deputies elected the new leaders of the 15th Central Committee of the CYLC. Zhou Qiang, first secretary of Secretariat of the CYLC Central Committee, presided over the meeting.

The delegates approved a report of the 14th Central Committee of the CYLC, and also passed a revision of the CYLC Constitution.

The CYLC was established in 1922 and is the world's largest youth group, with 69.86 million members. Its national congress is held every five years.
