Wreaths Laid Before Korean-Chinese Friendship Tower

Senior party and state officials Of the DPRK, officers and men of the Korean People's Army and working people laid wreaths before the Korean-Chinese friendship tower in Pyongyang Sunday morning on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the victory in the Great Fatherland Liberlation War. The KPA guards of honor were lined up at the tower.

Senior party and state officials Of the DPRK, officers and men of the Korean People's Army and working people laid wreaths before the Korean-Chinese friendship tower in Pyongyang Sunday morning on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the victory in the Great Fatherland Liberlation War. The KPA guards of honor were lined up at the tower.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were Han Song Ryong, Sin Il Nam, chairman of the Central Committee of the Korean Social Democratic Party Kim Yong Dae, officials of the party and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, KPA officers and men and working people in Pyongyang.

Chinese ambassador to the DPRK Wu Donghe and embassy officials were on hand.

A wreath was laid in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK and the DPRK cabinet and a wreath in the name of the Chinese embassy here.

Then wreaths were laid in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, ministries, national institutions, organs of science, public heath and the press, party and power organs and factories in Pyongyang.

Written on the ribbons of the wreaths were letters "Glory to the martyrs of the Chinese people's volunteers" the participants observed a moment's silence in memory of the martyrs of the Chinese people's volunteers who died while heroically fighting in the last Korean War.

Meanwhile, wreaths were laid before the martyrs' cemeteries of the Chinese People's Volunteers across the country.
