China to Host International Forum on Construction Industry

The Chinese Ministry of Construction will host an international forum on the construction industry Beijing on Aug. 14-16, a ministry spokesman announced Monday.

The Chinese Ministry of Construction will host an international forum on the construction industry Beijing on Aug. 14-16, a ministry spokesman announced Monday.

Participants would exchange views on the construction work for the Beijing Olympics Games in 2008, construction industry laws andfinancial projects, the spokesman said.

He also said that the forum would invite industrial experts at home and abroad to address participants about the market prospectsfor China's construction industry after the country entered the World Trade Organization.

Participants would also be invited to visit construction projects for the Olympics Games and Beijing's Central Business District.
