Police Crack People Smuggling Operation in NE China
Police captured 69 illegal migrants and two people smugglers aboard a boat off Dalian city, northeast China's Liaoning province, on Thursday.

Police captured 69 illegal migrants and two people smugglers aboard a boat off Dalian city, northeast China's
Liaoning
province, on Thursday.
Police received a tip-off Wednesday that a number of illegal migrants were going to depart from the tourist port of Xinghai Bayby boat. At 9:30 p.m., Wednesday, police spotted a suspicious boatleaving the port.
At 1:50 a.m., Thursday, police stopped the boat offshore and seized 57 men and 12 women, and the two organizers.
The migrants came from the northeastern provinces of Liaoning,
Jilin
and
Heilongjiang
as well as
Fujian
province, east China, according to police sources.
The case is under investigation, a police spokesman said.
