Key Economic Website Debuts in China

China Economic Net (www.ce.cn), China's eighth national key news website, made its debut on Wednesday.

China Economic Net (www.ce.cn), China's eighth national key news website, made its debut on Wednesday.

The website is operated by the Economic Daily, China's largest economic newspaper group.

With the Economic Daily's abundant economic information and effective system of collecting news, the goal of China Economic Net is to become China's most comprehensive economic website and the most authoritative online economic data center, said Wu Chunhe,president of Economic Daily.

There are 20 columns on the website, including a news center and information on macro-economy, finance and stocks. The website also provides useful indices, charts and figures on different aspects of China's economy.

In addition to simplified Chinese, Internet surfers also can read the website in English and traditional Chinese characters.
