Former Members of China's Top Think Tank in HK Honored

Fifty-seven former members of China's top political consultative body in Hong Kong were awarded honorary certificates Thursday to commemorate their contribution to the prosperity and stability of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

Fifty-seven former members of China's top political consultative body in Hong Kong were awarded honorary certificates Thursday to commemorate their contribution to the prosperity and stability of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

At the awarding ceremony, Zheng Wantong, secretary-general of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) National Committee, conveyed praises and gratitude of Jia Qinglin, chairman of CPPCC National Committee, to the former members of the national advisory body.

Zheng encouraged the former members of the ninth CPPCC National Committee in Hong Kong to continue to support the work of CPPCC and devote for the future of Hong Kong.

Chuang Shih-Ping, one of the former CPPCC National Committee members in Hong Kong, said that he will continue to play his active role in promoting stability and development of Hong Kong and reunification and prosperity of the motherland in the future.

According to the rules of the CPPCC, the 10th CPPCC National Committee has been elected in March this year.
