Paint Plant Blaze Injures Seven People in Northeast China

Seven people have been injured in a blaze at a paint plant in Harbin, capital of northeast China Heilongjiang Province, police said on Saturday.

Seven people have been injured in a blaze at a paint plant in Harbin, capital of northeast China Heilongjiang Province, police said on Saturday.

A tank truck containing chemical liquid burst in a blaze late Friday at Harbin Paint Plant as workers were unloading it, causing injuries to seven people working at the spot, five of the injured suffered serious burn.

The injured were rushed to the Harbin No. 5 Hospital for treatment.

The fire last three hours before it was extinguished by firefighters at 11:30 p.m., a policeman said.

A total of more than 60 fire engines involving 160 fire fighters joined in the fight.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
