Romanian President Arrives in Beijing

Romanian President Ion Iliescu arrived here Tuesday evening for an eight-day state visit to China,at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

Romanian President Ion Iliescu arrived here Tuesday evening for an eight-day state visit to China,at the invitation of Chinese President Hu Jintao.

During Iliescu's stay in Beijing, Chinese leaders will meet with him and they will exchange views on relations between the twocountries and other issues of common concern.

It is Iliescu's sixth visit to China. Besides Beijing, Iliescu will also pay a visit to Shanghai and Hong Kong.
