China, US Hold Meeting on Military Safety

China and the United States concluded a three-day meeting of the Military Maritime and Air Safety Working Group under the Military Maritime Consultative Agreement (MMCA) mechanism on Thursday afternoon (local time) in Hawaii, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said Friday.

China and the United States concluded a three-day meeting of the Military Maritime and Air Safety Working Group under the Military Maritime Consultative Agreement (MMCA) mechanism on Thursday afternoon (local time) in Hawaii, the Chinese Ministry of National Defense said Friday.

During the meeting, the two sides held frank and constructive consultations on Sino-US military safety at sea and other relevant issues.

The Chinese delegation met Charles W. Neeley, chief of staff for the Strategic Planning and Policy of US Pacific Command and visited the US Navy Aegis cruiser "Lake Erie".
