Chinese State Councilor Meets Mauritius Guests
Chinese State Councilor Tang Jiaxuan met with Premnath Ramnah, speaker of the National Assemblyof Mauritius in Beijing on Monday.

Beijing
on Monday.
Tang said that since the two nations established their diplomatic relations in 1972, bilateral relations have progressed steadily and fruitful cooperation had been achieved in many areas.In recent years, visits by high-ranking officials from both sides increased, with economic and trade exchanges and mutual cooperation kept strengthening. The Chinese government valued its relationship with Mauritius and was willing to promote the bilateral relations, he added.
Speaker Ramnah said China had always stood by the side of developing nations, including Mauritius, and that his country looked to China as a trusted and sincere friend. He thanked China for its selfless aid over years and expressed Mauritius' resolve to continue to adhere to the One China policy steadfastly.
