IOC President Rogge Lauds Beijing's Olympic Preparation

International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge arrived in Beijing Sunday morning for the launching of the 2008 Beijing Olympics marketing program.

International Olympic Committee (IOC) president Jacques Rogge arrived in Beijing Sunday morning for the launching of the 2008 Beijing Olympics marketing program.

"I come to Beijing not only as the president of IOC, but also as a sports fan." said Rogge, who have been in Beijing twice before, including the visits during the 2001 Beijing Universiad and 2001 National Games of China,

"I have taken part in seven Olympic games, but Beijing is the best in preparation works." the IOC chief said.

The marketing programs of Beijing Olympic, including the sponsor authorization, sales progress, licensing and other programs, will be launched on September 1.

"The Beijing Olympic Organizing Committee did a wonderful job, the SARS didn't influenced the preparation works of 2008 Olympics." said Rogge, "Not only IOC, the other member countries and regions of IOC are also satisfied with the works that Beijing have done."
