DPRK Vice SPA Chairman Jang Chol Dies

Jang Chol, vice chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of DPRK, died of stomach cancer at the age of 77 on Saturday.

Jang Chol, vice chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly (SPA) of DPRK, died of stomach cancer at the age of 77 on Saturday.

DPRK leader Kim Jong-il sent a wreath to the bier of the late Jang, also chairman of the central committee of the General Federation of the Unions of Literature and the Arts, to express deep condolences over his death.
