HK Health Official to Attend WHO Regional Meeting

Secretary for Health, Welfare and Food Yeoh Eng-kiong will attend the 54th session of the World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Committee for the Western Pacific in Manila, a Hong Kong government release said Sunday.

Yeoh will take part in the discussion on severe acute respiratory syndrome and the ministerial round table.

Organized by the WHO Western Pacific Region, the 54th session of the Regional Committee will be held from September 8 to 12 in Manila, the Philippines.

The annual session of the Regional Committee is attended by 37 member states and areas in the Western Pacific Region.
