Chinese Defense Minister Cao Gangchuan met Thursday with Minister of Veterans Affairs of Mozambique Antonio Hama Thay and his party.

Cao Gangchuan
met Thursday with Minister of Veterans Affairs of Mozambique Antonio Hama Thay and his party.
Cao, also vice-chairman of China's Central Military Commission and a state councilor, said the two sides had cooperated effectively in various fields with profound friendship.
He said exchanges of high-level visits enhanced mutual understanding and trust.
China's armed forces were willing to contribute to further friendly cooperation.
He also appreciated the Mozambique government's adherence to the one-China principle and support to China on the human rights issue.
Hama Thay said Mozambique valued cooperation with China and Mozambique's people were grateful for the long-term support from China.
He said Mozambique would unswervingly support China's reunification.
