Ugandan Prime Minister Visits Shanghai

Ugandan Prime Minister Apollo Robin Nsibambi said Thursday that the economic development in Shanghai is admirable and he hoped Shanghai entrepreneurs could invest in Uganda and carry out cooperation in varied forms.

Ugandan Prime Minister Apollo Robin Nsibambi said Thursday that the economic development in Shanghai is admirable and he hoped Shanghai entrepreneurs could invest in Uganda and carry out cooperation in varied forms.

Shanghai Mayor Han Zheng briefed the prime minister and his party, who are on a visit here, on the city's economic development. Han said Shanghai has more than 30,000 overseas-invested enterprises with contractual investment totaling 70 billion US dollars.

Nsibambi said Uganda can draw on Shanghai's experience in economic development. He said Uganda has rich aquatic products and tourism resources and he hopes his current visit could promote bilateral economic cooperation.
