Zambian Inspector General of Police Zunga Siakalima said at the handover ceremony held here Thursday that the raincoats could not have come at a better time than now when the rain season is just around the corner.
He thanks the Chinese government for its all-weather friendship to Zambia.
Siakalima said the Zambia Police Service has embarked on a program of computerization of its stations, units and sections. Sohe believed the donation of computers and printers will undoubtedly go a long way in complementing this program.
Chinese Ambassador to Zambia Peng Keyu said the police plays a significant role in any country, in maintaining social security and stability, which is of crucial importance in the development of national economy.
Peng said it is not possible to expect any economic development without a safe and stable social environment.
He strongly believed it is the continuous efforts of the Zambia Police that make this beautiful country a safe place for foreigners to live in, to work and invest.
