Chinese vice-premier meets EU commissioner

Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Wednesday that China will continue to advance the existing sound cooperative relations with the European Union in the field of information.

Chinese Vice-Premier Huang Ju said Wednesday that China will continue to advance the existing sound cooperative relations with the European Union in the field of information.

Vice-Premier Huang made the remarks Wednesday at a meeting with Erkki Liikanen, European Union commissioner for enterprise and information society.

Huang briefed Liikanen on China's strategy for information development and his country's cooperation with other countries in this regard.

They also exchanged views on Sino-European relations, and bilateral cooperation in information technology and policies and industrial policies.

Meanwhile, they agreed that the dialogue mechanism between the two sides on information society cooperation is conducive to making use of their advantages to speed up their informatization process.
