China's top advisory body to hold session in mid-October

The Third Session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will be held in mid-October.

The Third Session of the Standing Committee of the 10th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) will be held in mid-October.

This was announced at the Seventh Chairman's Meeting of the 10th CPPCC National Committee held in Beijing Friday.

The meeting, presided by CPPCC National Committee Chairman Jia Qinglin and attended by 16 vice-chairpersons, also passed a preliminary agenda for the Third Session of the Standing Committeeand decided to submit related drafts for deliberation in the coming session.

Vice-chairpersons attending the meeting include Wang Zhongyu, Liao Hui, Liu Yandong, Ngapoi Ngawang Jigme, Zhang Siqing, Bai Lichen, Luo Haocai, Zhou Tienong, Hao Jianxiu, Chen Kuiyuan, Abdul'ahat Abdurixit, Li Zhaozhuo, Huang Mengfu, Wang Xuan, Zhang Huaixi and Li Meng.
