Vice President meets Australian guests

Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong met Friday with Australian Defense Minister Robert Hill.

Chinese Vice-President Zeng Qinghong met Friday with Australian Defense Minister Robert Hill.

Zeng said that since the two countries established diplomatic relations 30 years ago, bilateral relations had developed steadily.Great progress was achieved in political, economic, trade, educational and military cooperation. The new generation of Chinese leaders would continue to promote bilateral relations.

He said military relations were an important part of bilateral relations. China actively promoted defense relations and hoped to enhance cooperation between the two armies.

Hill expressed satisfaction with the bilateral cooperation in politics, economy and tourism. He hoped his visit would further strengthen defense cooperation.
