Namibian aircraft detained over illegal entry in Angola

An airplane believed to have flown in from the neighboring Republic of Namibia was detained in Angola's central Bie province recently for illegally entering the Angolan territory, Angolan news agency Angola reported on Tuesday.

An airplane believed to have flown in from the neighboring Republic of Namibia was detained in Angola's central Bie province recently for illegally entering the Angolan territory, Angolan news agency Angola reported on Tuesday.

The information was released to in Luanda by Angolan Transports Minister Andre Luis Brandao, according to a report of Angop.

The report said that Brandao would not say when exactly the plane entered the country, but he said that there are international procedures that should be observed in such cases or else the plane is retained for investigation.
