A series of selective trials for the Athens Olympic Games shooting tournament has been completed.
Most of the shooters who have been training in the national team qualified for the Olympic team after three trials in 12 days.
China's head coach Xu Haifeng is very satisfied with the result:
"The three trials went smoothly, even better than my expectations. We enforced the rules and regulations of the qualifying events to the letter. After the trials, all the key shooters in the national team qualified."
Chen Ying, who claimed her first women's sports pistol world championship in last year's International Shooting Sports Federation World Cup, says the trials add to her self-confidence:
"I've gained more confidence in these trials. And I've discovered my weak points, some of which I never thought would be my shortcomings. I think there are some problems I still haven't found. But I will go all out to prepare for the Olympic Games in the next ten months."
