Bush: China's manned space mission is not a threat

US President George W. Bush said Sunday in Bangkok China's successful manned space mission of the Shenzhou-5 spacecraft is an interesting development rather than a threat.

US President George W. Bush said Sunday in Bangkok China's successful manned space mission of the Shenzhou-5 spacecraft is an interesting development rather than a threat.

During an interview with reporters from the Asia News TV channel, Bush said China is becoming a country which possesses sophisticated technology and huge potential.

He added that he believes China's technological gains from space exploration will be of benefit to humanity as a whole.
