Russia is ready to develop relations with its traditional partners, including China, under any circumstances, said Russian President Vladimir Putin lately. Meanwhile, the nation will increase its oil export to China, either by building a trunk line or a sub-line directly running to China, or by adding rail transportation volume to the country.
Interviewed before his set out for visits to Malaysia and Thailand, Putin was quoted Sunday by a Russian official source saying that Russia must consider its economic interests and ecological balance, as well as the development prospects of the east Siberia and the Far East, when choosing a best route for constructing a line sending out oil form east Siberia.
Cooperation within the APEC framework will facilitate the development of east Russia, meanwhile, rapid development in the Asia-Pacific region also needs natural resources from Russia, Putin said. Russia hopes to conduct close cooperation with its Asia-Pacific neighbors and partners and play an active role in the development of the region as a whole.
