Production accidents kill over 95,600 workers Jan-Sept

China reported 712,968 accidents which killed 95,612 people in the first nine months this year, according to the State Administration of Production Safety.

China reported 712,968 accidents which killed 95,612 people in the first nine months this year, according to the State Administration of Production Safety.

The bureau said at a press conference held here Thursday that there were 10 most serious accidents in the period with each claiming the lives of 30 people or above, with a death toll of 461.

The number of so-called serious accidents, which means 10 to 29 victims per case, totaled 91 with 1,365 killed, figures show.
