Two killed as heat pipeline bursts in Moscow

Two workers were killed and three others injured on Monday morning as a result of hot water spewing from a heat supply pipeline in this capital city of Russia.

Two workers were killed and three others injured on Monday morning as a result of hot water spewing from a heat supply pipeline in this capital city of Russia.

The accident took place at Gostiny Dvor exhibition center in downtown Moscow at around 10 a.m. local time (0700 GMT), Itar-Tassnews agency reported, citing the Ministry for Civil Defense and Emergencies.

The three, suffering from severe burns, were sent to hospital.

Workers are now repairing the broken pipeline and the case is under investigation.
