Top legislator returns to Beijing after visit to DPRK

Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo returned Friday afternoon after an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Chinese top legislator Wu Bangguo returned Friday afternoon after an official goodwill visit to the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK).

Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of China's National People's Congress (NPC) and a member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the Communist Party of China (CPC) CentralCommittee, headed a state delegation for the three-day visit.

Wu's entourage, including deputy head of the delegation Zeng Peiyan, a member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and China's vice premier; Sheng Huaren, vice chairman and secretary-general of the NPC Standing Committee, and other officials returned aboard the same plane.
