Ethiopia lauds Chinese support to Ethiopia

The Ethiopian Federal Affairs has expressed its appreciation to the Chinese government for its willingness in sharing its experiences with Ethiopia in the area of urban development.

The Ethiopian Federal Affairs has expressed its appreciation to the Chinese government for its willingness in sharing its experiences with Ethiopia in the area of urban development.

Abay Tsehaye, federal affairs minister said the China's participation in the various development activities in Ethiopia could significantly contribute to the nation building process, hoping the participation should be further strengthened.

He made the remark Friday while handing over certificates to over 60 Ethiopian experts trained in urban planning and land use management.

The experts received the training through the support provided by the Chinese government in cooperation with the ministry of federal affairs.

Chinese Ambassador to Ethiopia Ai Ping said on the occasion that China is desirous to share its huge experience in urban development sector with Ethiopian experts.

China has so far provided training to many Ethiopian experts and specialists in urban planning and management.

The ambassador said many Chinese construction and real estate development companies could contribute a lot to the urban development of Ethiopia as they are emerging competitive along with the fast growing urbanization and economic development of the world.
