Beijing to hold forum on SME development

As China's small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector plays an increasingly important role in the national economy, a forum on innovation and development will be held in Beijing from Nov. 20 to 30.

As China's small- and medium-sized enterprise (SME) sector plays an increasingly important role in the national economy, a forum on innovation and development will be held in Beijing from Nov. 20 to 30.

Sources with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS) said Monday that well-known economists, government officials and representatives from enterprises will discuss topics concerning the development trend of China's SMEs, policies and measures taken by the government to boost development, investment opportunities for SMEs.

The forum is jointly hosted by the SME research center of CASS and the SME department of the State Development and Reform Commission.
