The Exhibition of China's First Manned Space Mission, which came to the Macao leg on Wednesday, closed here Friday afternoon after drawing 120,000 visitors.

The exhibition brought along with the visit of the Delegation of China's First Manned Space Mission to the Hong Kong and Macao special administrative regions started first in Hong Kong on Oct. 31. In both cities, the exhibition was opened round-the-clock and completely for free in order to satisfy the maximum number of eager visitors.

The exhibition features the re-entry capsule of the Shenzhou-5 spacecraft, spacesuit of China's first astronaut Yang Liwei, the landing parachute and samples of his space food. It was put on show at the Macao Forum, a multi-functional complex in downtown Macao, Wednesday afternoon, with Yang and Chief Executive of the Macao SAR Edmund Ho Hau Wah attending as officiating guests.

Macao's one-fourth of its total population of 450,000 went to the two-day exhibition. Such an enthusiasm for a show was unprecedented in Macao.
