Cambodia celebrates 50th Independence Day
Cambodia on Sunday held a grand ceremony in Phnom Penh to mark the 50th Independence day.

Cambodia
on Sunday held a grand ceremony in Phnom Penh to mark the 50th Independence day.
King Norodom Sihanouk presided over the celebration.
The king said, "Independence was the great success of Cambodianpeople because we have a great unity. When we are united, we will get great success."
Premier Hun Sen and other high ranking official participated inthe ceremony.
Hundreds of thousands people including police, soldier, students and people from all walks of life participated in the ceremony.
The king stressed the importance of nation unity, saying his people and nation will only gain from it.
Cambodia gained independence from
France
in 1953 after 90 yearsof colonial rule.
