Chinese Wuhan and Changsha have won the right to host Asian zone under-23 soccer qualifying matches.
Central and southern Chinese cities Wuhan and Changsha have won the right to host Asian zone under-23 soccer qualifying matches for next year's Olympic Games, the Chinese Football Association (CFA) announced on Monday.
Wuhan, capital city for
Hubei
Province, will host China's games against
Malaysia
on March 20 and against
Iran
on March 27, next year, CFA said.
And
Hunan
provincial capital Changsha will host China's game against South Korea on May 1, next year.
A total of six Chinese cities had put forwards their bids for hosting the Olympic Asian zone soccer qualifiers and their representatives made presentations to a CFA task force here on Monday. Wuhan and Changsha outscored other bidders in an all-around evaluation.
While congratulating the two successful bidder cities, CFA vice-president Nan Yong asked for timely preparations by the organizers to ensure the games be well hosted.
