Iraqi insurgents fired rockets Friday into a hotel in Baghdad where South Korean parliamentary officials were staying but there were no reports of casualties of them, South Korean Yonhap News Agency reported.

A 10-member South Korean parliamentary team left Seoul on Tuesday for a 10-day mission to assess the security situation in Iraq before their government send additional troops to the country.

Officials at the office of Kang Chang-hee, an legislator of theopposition Grand National Party who heads the mission, said they got a call from the South Korean embassy staff in Baghdad that five rockets hit a part of the 14th and 15th floor of the hotel and its elevator entrance at about 7:30 a.m.(0430 GMT) local time.

Responding to Washington's request, South Korea has decided to send an additional some 3,000 troops to Iraq but details have yet to be decided.

Some 450 non-combatants from South Korea are working in Iraq now.
