n prosecutors have launched anew raid on offices of the oil giant Yukos and seized more documents, prosecution officials said on Thursday.
The search was carried out Wednesday at the Yukos-Moscow, Yukos' main subsidiary, during which documents were confiscated, the Prosecutor General's Office said in a statement. But no one was arrested in the raid.
Khodorkovsky, the former chief executive of Yukos and the richest man in Russia, was arrested on Oct. 25 on seven charges including massive fraud and tax evasion.
If convicted, Khodorkovsky, who resigned soon after his arrest, may face up to 10 years in prison, prosecutors said.
Although the legal suit against the former oil magnate continues, Yukos has been finalizing its merger deal with Sibneft, another Russian oil company, to create the world's fourth largest oil producer.
