Party official gets 18-year jail sentenced for taking bribes

Jilin Municipal Intermediate People's Court sentenced Wang Chun, former deputy secretary-general of Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to 18 years in prison for receiving bribes.

Jilin Municipal Intermediate People's Court sentenced Wang Chun, former deputy secretary-general of Jilin Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC), to 18 years in prison for receiving bribes.

Wang allegedly took about 1.7 million yuan (205,658 US dollars)of bribes and owns about 2.05 million yuan (247,695 US dollars) of possession which he could not account for.
