Interpol issues arrest warrant for former Liberian president

Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for former Liberian president Charles Taylor who is living in exile in Nigeria, following a request from a UN-backed war crimes tribunal in Sierra Leone.

Interpol has issued an international arrest warrant for former Liberian president Charles Taylor who is living in exile in Nigeria, following a request from a UN-backed war crimes tribunal in Sierra Leone.

Interpol, the international police organization, based in Lyon,France, said on Thursday that Taylor was wanted for alleged crimes against humanity and "grave breaches" of the Geneva Conventions.
