Jordanian PM hails China's economic support

Jordanian Prime Minister Faisal Al Fayez on Wednesday met with a senior chinese women leader and hailed China's economic support to Jordan.

Jordanian Prime Minister Faisal Al Fayez on Wednesday met with a senior chinese women leader and hailed China's economic support to Jordan.

"Jordan looks forward to exchanging more expertise and benefiting from China's experience in economic field," Faisal said, while meeting with Gu Xiulian, president of the All-China Women's Federation.

The prime minister, meanwhile, noted that his government has been paying attention to the role of women in Jordanian political, economic and social development process.

Women have contributed their abilities and wisdom to the process, he told Gu, who is also a vice president of China's National People's Congress (NPC) Standing Committee.

For her part, Gu applauded the role played by Jordanian women in the country's development of politics, economy and society.

Heading a delegation from the All-China Women's Federation, Gu arrived here Tuesday on a five-day visit. Before Jordanian tour, the delegation visited the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
