Beijing reports big rise in automobile sales

A total of 364,074 automobiles were sold in the Chinese capital in the first 11 months of the year, up 52.1 percent from the same period last year.

A total of 364,074 automobiles were sold in the Chinese capital in the first 11 months of the year, up 52.1 percent from the same period last year.

Sources from the Municipal Bureau of Statistics said new automobiles made up 262,000 of the total sales, while the rest were second-hand.

Sales of automobiles in the city are expected to exceed 400,000this year.

The city saw 260,403 automobiles sold last year.
