Foreign-invested enterprises (FIEs) were the biggest winners when the annual awards were handed out by the national association for foreign-invested firms.
The number of Shenzhen FIEs to receive awards was the largest compared with other cities, according to the local association for FIEs.
Of the nation's top 10 FIEs in exports, three are based in Shenzhen. These are Hong Fu Jin Precision Industry (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd., IIPC (an IBM subsidiary) and China International Marine Containers (Group) Co. Ltd.
Another 193 foreign-invested manufacturers with exports worth more than US$2 million or profit before taxation exceeding 2 million yuan, were named the best performers.
