Iranian Defense Minister Ali Shamkhani on Wednesday warned Israel not to strike its nuclearfacilities.

Iran would use all means at its disposal, including medium-range Shahab-3 missiles, to strike Israel if the Jewish country launched attacks on its nuclear facilities, the minister was quoted by thestate IRNA news agency as saying.

"Israel is a 'fragile glass garrison'. The Zionist leaders are cherishing the dream of a rule over the globe," Shamkhani said."The Islamic Republic of Iran will strongly deal with the action against its national territory. The Israeli threat emanates from its evil literature. It is too coward to threaten Iran," he added.Israeli Defence Minister Shaul Mofaz cited by Jerusalem-basedHaaretz newspaper on Sunday said that Israel is considering an operation to destroy the nuclear capabilities of Iran, now considered as the Jewish state's number one enemy after the former Iraqi regime of Saddam Hussein was toppled.

Both Shamkhani and Iranian Air Force Commander General SeyedReza Pardis on Monday warned Israel against any plan to attackIran's nuclear facilities.

"As we have repeatedly announced, we will confront firmly and strongly any threat which may seek to challenge our national security and interests. The Zionist regime will pay a heavy priceif it does so," Shamkhani said.

For his part, Pardis gave a stern warning to Israel not toattack against Iran's nuclear facilities, otherwise the Jewish state "will dig own grave".
