Yale Law School establishes China association

The prestigious Yale Law School established an association in China Tuesday. The Yale Law School Association of China, with more than 100 members, aims to provide assistance and support to Yale Law School for educational and research activities in China.

The prestigious Yale Law School established an association in China Tuesday.

The Yale Law School Association of China, with more than 100 members, aims to provide assistance and support to Yale Law School for educational and research activities in China.

The association also aims to enable better understanding in China of the legal research and education offered by the 200-year-old US school.

Gao Zhikai, president of the association, said it would contribute to improving Chinese understanding of the legal system,legal theories and practice in the United States.

"This will contribute to the improvement of the friendly relations between China and the United States," he said.

Yale Law School is the most distinguished law school in the United States and the alma mater for many important statesmen and leaders, including former US Presidents Gerald Ford and Bill Clinton, and former US Secretary of Treasury and now director and chairman of the executive committee of Citigroup Robert Rubin.
