SAARC ministerial meeting concludes
The ministerial meeting, prelude of the forthcoming summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), ended on January 3.

The ministerial meeting, prelude of the forthcoming summit of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC), ended on January 3.
Ministers from seven regional countries agreed on the additional protocol on terrorism and finalized the agenda draft, covering the social charter, the agreement on the free trade area and steps to eradicate poverty.

i Foreign Minister and chairman of the Council of Ministers Khurshid Mahmood Kasuri at a press conference in the wake of the two-day moot.
Kasuri noted that the meeting was held "in a spirit of accommodation and cooperation," adding that the 12th SAARC Summit, scheduled from Jan. 4 to Jan. 6 will be historic, considering the understanding and agreements it will achieve.
