Yunnan sets up earthquake emergency squad
Southwest China's Yunnan Province has set up its first professional emergency squad to deal with earthquake disasters.

Province has set up its first professional emergency squad to deal with earthquake disasters.
Earthquakes in Yunnan were relatively frequent, said Zeng Dehua, vice head of the squad, and the provincial government decided to form an emergency squad to cope with the disasters.
The squad included PLA soldiers and experts on seismology, first aid and engineering, said Zeng.
Equipped with modern communication devices and emergency reaction systems, the squad would carry out emergency reaction training so as to provide prompt and efficient aid, he said.
