Michelle Kwan had beat her younger rivals and won the seventh consecutive national title in the U.S. Figure Skating championships at Atlanta Jan.10 night.

The 23-year-old queen swept the nine-judge panel with seven perfect 6.0s for artistry.

"It's been a magical night," Kwan said. "Skating a performance like that, it was amazing. The marks were like the cherry on top of a perfect sundae. I can't ask for more."

Kwan's seven-year winning streak ties Dick Button for the longest in the national championships. Only Maribel Vinson had more U.S. titles than her, with nine.

Kwan, who claimed to compete in 2006 Winter Olympic Games, alsowon five world championship crowns. She never won an Olympic goldmedal.

Sasha Cohen finished second and Jennifer Kirk was third.
