The top ten domestic sci-tech news are: China successfully completed its first manned space flight; Chinese scientists uncovered the molecular secrets of high rice production and notched a breakthrough in the research of super hybrid rice; the country achieved great stage-results in the research of SARS; breakthrough made in surface nanocrystallization of metal and nano cluster; Shanghai built the world first commercial Maglev demonstration line and successfully put it into operation; the Yangtze River was successfully dammed and the Three Gorges permanent ship lock opened to navigation, and the first-batch generator began to work; the University of Science and Technology of China made great progress in the field of quantum communication experiment by working out a server processing 100 trillion-level data; breakthrough made in the research of controlled thermonuclear fusion; China found fissile of a four-winged dinosaur.
