Volkswagen ventures in China sell 700,000 cars in 2003

The two joint ventures of Germany's Volkswagen group in China sold a total of 697,961 cars in 2003, up 36 percent year on year, the company has announced.

The two joint ventures of Germany's Volkswagen group in China sold a total of 697,961 cars in 2003, up 36 percent year on year, the company has announced.

The Shanghai Volkswagen Corporation sold 396,006 cars, up 32 percent, while the FAW-Volkswagen Automotive Company, in northeast Jilin Province, sold 298,000 cars, up 55 percent.
