Chinese culture center in S.Korea kicks off construction
Chinese embassy in Seoul on Thursday held a press conference over construction of the China Culture Center (CCC) in South Korea.

Chinese embassy in Seoul on Thursday held a press conference over construction of the China Culture Center (CCC) in South Korea.
In the press conference, the CCC's director, Chinese Culture Minister, Zhu Yingjie introduced that to open the CCC in South Korean is a common understanding reached between Chinese former premier
Zhu Rongji
and South Korean then President Kim Dae-jung inyear of 2000.
"When built, the CCC in South Korea will be the first one of its kind in Asian area," Zhu said to reporters.
"From now on, it will take some six months to complete the construction work of the CCC, which is located in central Seoul," said Zhu.
The CCC building was designed to have six-floor above the ground and one floor basement. "And the 1,760-square-meter large CCC building will be decorated with Chinese traditional style," Zhu said.
"The CCC will also hold various event to promote understanding and friendship between the people of the two countries," added Zhu.
Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Li Bin also attended the press conference and delivered congratulations for the construction of the CCC.
