3 Chinese experts join WTO dispute settlement body's panel

The Ministry of Commerce said Thursday that three Chinese experts were added to the panel memberlist of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The Ministry of Commerce said Thursday that three Chinese experts were added to the panel memberlist of the Dispute Settlement Body (DSB) of the World Trade Organization (WTO).

The DSB made the decision Tuesday at its regular meeting.

The DSB establishes panels on trade disputes at the request of WTO members after discussion.

Zhang Yuqing, Zeng Lingliang and Zhu Lanye, the three experts for the panel, are renowned ones on international law in China.

Zhang Yuqing, male, is the former director of the Treaty & Law Department under the Ministry of Commerce who had taken part in China's process to enter the WTO.

Prof. Zeng Lingyang, also male, is the president of the Law School of Wuhan University and Prof. Zhu Lanye, female, teaches in the East China College of Political Science and Law.
